これは、Link TV: Television Without Borders （リンクＴＶ：国境無きテレビ）により制作された曲 The Price of Silence。　

世界の現実では、未だに政治や武器やお金"だけ"の力を信じて、主体的に時には不本意ながら間接的に「人身売買ビジネス」や「人権侵害」とか「政治的弾圧」などに加担しちゃってる人が大勢いる。もちろん我々人間には、「金・力・リスペクト」が必要だし、皆欲しがってる。でもそれだけに偏ってるのが、世界的な危機の原因になってることも理解しなくちゃいけない。

「もうそうゆうのは止めようぜ」と、世界的人権保護団体のアムネスティー・インターナショナルが第二次世界大戦後の 1948 年に国連と一緒に「世界人権宣言」というのを作りました。今回はこれの 60 周年を記念しての曲。

参加しているアーティストたちは、「音楽の力で社会を変えれる」と世界各地で活動している。少しでも公正な世の中になることを信じて。

人種・国・宗教などいろんな事柄が絡み合い、数々の思惑が交差する世の中ですが、こうやってメッセージを「伝える」ということで世のため人のために貢献しようと熱く生きてる人たち、実は一杯いるんじゃないでしょうか。

あなたの出来ること。あなたしか出来ないこと。ものすごく大事です。

In 1948, Amnesty International alongside UN declared Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) aiming to stop all those human trafficking business, political suppression n any human rights violations.

Even today, many of us are unknowingly and indirectly support the only power of weapon, politics n money. Of course we want n somehow need those "money, power n respect" things. But wanting only these has been a cause of many of global issues as you all know.

The featuring artists all over the world to this song do their tasks, making the world better place, believing music can bring a social change.

In this world, so many things are intertwined. Countries, religions n ethnics, everything n everybody got its own systematic tricks. This could make you uneasy to navigate yourself. But look around, you will find many others working on to carry out their messages to the world.

What you can do, lo que pueda hacer. What only you can do, lo que solo tu pueda hacer. Its so important, es tan importante.

Everybody may have heard of a classic phrase "seeing is believing". In a way though, the screen that you are watching right now to read these my words is also a "seeing tool".

By having seen something that you have only heard about it before, I'm sure it was a pretty shocking, or eye-opening, experience. So, images that is focused on seeing is a powerful tool.

I call those tools visual materials. And today I wanna show this visual material from an area of social activism.

Social activism covers up many different fields, like politics, economy, n environment, and it totally is based on a strong will for social change.

This music video "Ballad of the Black Gold" is a work by Reflection Eternal. They really do their social activism. In their lyrics of this song, they rap about our reality addicted to petroleum. They also sing about Nigeria n Gulf of Mexico where the petro keeps leaking everyday. Just "see" it.

誰でも一度は聞いたことがあるであろう、クラシックなフレーズ「百聞は一見にしかず」。今、まさにあなたがこの瞬間この文章を表示しているそのパソコンのスクリーンも、拡大解釈すれば、情報的な何かを「一見」する為のツールの一つです。

「見る」ということに特化して作られる映像、そういった意味でかなりパワフルな「一見」ツールです。

何か特定のコトについて、「話には聞いてたけど、実際に見たらショックを受けた、クラった、感動した、泣いた、憤慨した、考えさせられた」などなど。映像を見ることで、心を動かされたり、頭に刺激を受けたりと、誰にでもそういった経験があると思います。

ワタクシ個人的にそういったものは基本、「視聴覚教材」扱いします。今回は Social Activism = 積極的社会行動主義のエリアから一つ、視聴覚教材で紹介します。　

積極的社会行動主義 = Social Activism は結構幅広く社会のことをカバーしている。大体にして、政治経済や環境など社会にとって重要なものをより良い方向へ変革させようという強い思いがベースにある。

冒頭の音楽ビデオは「ブラックゴールドのバラード」です。 Reflection Eternal というデュオの作品。彼らの作品は Social Activism の特徴がある。この Ballad of the Black Gold では、石油依存社会の現実をラップしてます。原油流出が続くナイジェリアやメキシコ湾などもリリックに出てきます。「一見」です。
